“The Hours” by Michael Cunningham is the April choice for the Adult Book Club at the Ironwood Carnegie Library.
The title may sound familiar. The book was awarded a PULITZER PRIZE in 1999 and was made into a blockbuster movie starring Meryl Street, Julianne Moore, and Nicole Kidman.
Online reading source goodreads.com had this to say about the novel: ‘The Hours’ is a daring and deeply affecting novel inspired by the life and work of Virginia Woolf. It is a passionate, profound and haunting story of love and inheritance, hope and despair.
