Planning and preparations are underway for the first annual Ironwood Chalkfest. Mark your calendars,and come on down to the City Square park Saturday, June 27th 9am – 4pm for a day of creativity and fun. Artists of all ages will be creating chalk sidewalk art masterpieces throughout the day.
If you are an artist who would like to join the fun, early bird registration will begin May 1st. Cash prizes will be awarded, the winners chosen by the public whom will vote for their favorite youth (ages 12-17) and adult (18+) artists, with an additional artist’s choice award which will be voted on by the artists participating in the event.
We understand children under twelve will want to make some art too. There will also be a just for fun (no prizes or competition) chalk drawing area for children under twelve.

Not an artist, but want to support or get involved in this event? We are still accepting sponsorships, and we are also looking for volunteers to help the day of the event (June 27th, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.).
