SUMMARY:Creating Health Compost Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Gogebic Conservation District is hosting a hands-on learning event where participants will be able to see up close different composting methods\, Static pile\, Johnson-Su\, Windrow\, Biodynamic\, Hügelkultur\, Vermicompost\, Bokashi\, as well as participate in building a hot compost pile which can produce compost faster\, but is more labor intensive requiring frequent turning\,\n\nWill also look at videos of the microbes from compost samples on the farm and compare with some store bought compost.\n\nWorkshop may be videotaped for later posting on social media\, in which case you will need to sign a waiver\n\n\n\nCost $10 per person payable to: Gogebic Conservation District\, 500 N. Moore St.\, Bessemer\, MI 49911.\n\nPlease enclose your payment along with registration to secure your spot. If over 30 registrants sign up\, your money will be returned\, and you will be placed on a waiting list in the event cancelation. You can also register online at gogebiccd.org.
