Check out this incredible offering from the Mercer Public Library!
Mercer resident Deb Patton will lead a free beginners class on Scandinavian loop weaving. This is a simple and durable technique that uses no machines, thread or looms and turns trash into treasures.
The class is scheduled for Tuesday, April 18th at 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. as well as Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the same time.
Participants will learn the basics of Scandinavian Loop Weaving and choose to make a trivet or small rug.
**The class is free, but participants must register in advance as space is limited.**
Students will need 2 old bed sheets of different colors or other fabric that can be easily torn into strips. For easier tearing, it is best to have the fabric/sheets be at least 50% cotton. Be sure to bring a sharp pair of scissors and a ruler.
