In honor of Earth Day, Northwind Natural Foods Co-op invites you to learn about the basics of growing oyster mushrooms in buckets on your kitchen counter.
The class will be followed by a two step cooking demo by the talented Chef Joel Sardinha of Suffolk Street Eatery.
First, he’ll show participants how to properly sear mushrooms, followed by how to blend them into a dish.
Yes, you will get to taste some! And yes, we will have all the supplies, ingredients and instructions available for purchase for you to try making this recipe at home!
The class is $10 for members, $12 for non members.
