ICORE and the Heritage Chapter of the North County Trail are planning a joint waterfall hike.
Here are the details:
Foster Falls to Hwy 169. Three waterfalls and Potato River views. Bethany Thomas: Leader.
Those who just want to hike the Waterfalls, 2 mile round trip can meet the group on HWY 169 and follow the group to Sullivan Fire Lane.
Most of the hikers will hike 5 miles and shutter cars. The group will hike the 3 new miles of trail and walk out a forest road. This will traverse by 3 waterfalls, 2 which names are pending approval. Then the group will be 100 ft above the river and back down at river edge. The group will pass 3 campsites, 2 with furniture and a lot of water cascades of the Potato river.
The hike begins at 11 AM from HWY 169, .4 miles South of Potato River Bridge
