Evolving over 300 million years ago, dragonflies can fly backwards, intercept prey mid-air, see 360 degrees around them, and they live most of their lives underwater! Join the Mercer Public Library on an exploration of the life history of these wonderful winged creatures, with dives and swoops into their interesting body parts, habitat requirements, and importance in our environment.
This program is part of the North Lakeland Discovery Center‘s Knowledge at Noon program series, and will be presented by a Discovery Center naturalist. There is no charge to attend, but donations to the Discovery Center are appreciated. All are welcome! For more information, call the Mercer Library at 715-476-2366.
