Recycling available at the Earth Day Fair
Attendees at the 2023 Earth Day Fair are invited to take advantage of the following no-cost recycling services available that day:
Courtesy of Trig’s Recycling Center: small electronics (computers, printers, wires and accessories, DVD players, etc.), small appliances, household batteries (AA, AAA, C, D), and small amounts of scrap metal. Please note: we cannot accept any types of monitors or televisions.
Denim recycling with Cotton’s Blue Jeans Go Green program: any denim that is 90% cotton or greater will be accepted, including printed, embellished, ripped, stained, scraps, and colored denim.
Plastic bags and films: Mercer United Methodist Church is collecting plastic bags through the NexTrex Trex Community Challenge program.
Mercer Library Earth Day Fair seeking exhibitors
The Mercer Public Library is now seeking exhibitors for the fifth annual Mercer Earth Day Fair on Saturday, April 22nd at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Any nonprofit groups or businesses that support sustainability, “green” living, renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, recycling, gardening, natural resources, wildlife and habitat preservation, silent sports, environmental education, or other environmental stewardship topics are invited to participate. There is no cost to reserve a table at the Earth Day Fair, and all are welcome.
