The Friends of the Mercer Library are hosting a FREE Fall Celebration Open House on Saturday, September 18 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
All are welcome to join the celebration and check out the new outdoor seating area. The Friends will provide hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine, and soft drinks. The event will be set up outdoors (weather permitting) with some displays and activities indoors as well.
There will be seven of the popular Book Basket raffles available this year. Tickets will go on sale at the library on September 3 and will be available through the drawing date on October 1. The baskets will be on display at the open house. There will also be an online auction of a great collection of items donated by local businesses and residents beginning September 18 and continuing through October 1, and these items will also be on display at the open house. All proceeds from the open house, Book Basket raffles, and online auction will support future Friends projects.
The Mercer Library would like to thank the following sponsors, whose support makes this open house event possible: “Shakespeare” sponsor Mercer United Methodist Church; “Best Seller” sponsors Rick’s Appliance Service, Pete Nicol of Redman Realty Group, and Dave and JoAnn Riegler; and “Author” sponsors Joe Miller’s Resort and Campground, Mercer Loons Motorcycle Club, SS Sport Store, Martha Pierpont and Dean Gustafson, and Jim and Dorothy Wahner.
