The Friends of the Mercer Library will sponsor a USED BOOK SALE on Thursday, May 26, Friday, May 27, and Saturday, May 28. The sale will be open during normal library hours on all three days.

Enjoy exploring a large offering of books for all ages, jigsaw puzzles, DVDs, and more!

The Bag Sale begins at noon on Friday: pick up a bag of books or other items for one very low price! Paper grocery bags will be provided OR you can bring your own bag. Yes, any bag!

All proceeds from the book sale will benefit the Friends of the Mercer Public Library who support programs, special events, materials, and new equipment and special items for the library. Thank you for your support!

Donations are now being accepted for the sale!
The Mercer Library gratefully accepts donations of books and other items in good, usable condition. Sometimes item are kept for the library collection, but most items are given to the Friends of the Library for the used book sales.

Consider donating good condition hardcover books, paperback books, children’s books, DVDs, and CDs.  Board games and puzzles if they are in good condition with all their pieces are also appreciated. Workbooks like crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and coloring books are accepted only if they are in new, unused condition.

Textbooks, encyclopedias, magazines, outdated medical and other reference books, and “condensed” books are not accepted, nor any items that are moldy or have insect or rodent damage due to the risk of spreading those problems to other books at the library. Please understand that disposing of unusable items costs the library time and expense, and refrain from donating these items.
