This is your chance to give back to the North Country Trail with an experienced trail building crew! Join the North Country Trail Wisconsin Roving Crew as they construct two trail structures (puncheon, or bridges) and complete the nearby trail in the beautiful Wren Falls area from Sunday May 1st through Thursday, May 5th.
Volunteers are invited to join for a day or all 5 days, and also to commute or camp. The crew will have base camp at Quiet Pines off of Vogues Road in Iron County and will include hot showers, a privy, a kitchen, etc. Camping with the roving crew offers experiences of good conversation and comaraderie, campfires, dark skies and star gazing, and opportunities to take short evening hikes on a nearby portion of the trail. Food is provided, room is limited.
What to bring: All personal sleeping arrangements (if camping), clothing for work and camp (all expected weather), work boots and gloves, bug dope, day pack with minimum 2 L water capacity, etc.
