Wisconsin’s woods are home to a huge variety of wild mushrooms, but do you know which ones to avoid? Tavis Lynch will present a free program on “Poisonous Mushrooms of the Northwoods” at the Mercer Public Library on Friday, May 17th at 1:00 p.m.
Lynch is the owner of Tavis’s Mushrooms, a shiitake, oyster mushroom and wine cap farm in northern Wisconsin also offering wild mushroom identification and supply. He is the author of Mushroom Cultivation: an illustrated guide to growing your own mushrooms at home.
This program is free and open to the public. For more information, call the library at 715-476-2366.
