If you own 10 or more acres of forested land, you may benefit from having a forestry plan. Learn more about the options available, resources from Wisconsin’s Managed Forest Law Program, and federal programs administered by the Natural Resources Conservation Services. There may be cost sharing opportunities associated with these programs for things such as tree planting, timber harvesting, and controlling invasive species.

Chris Paulik has a degree in forestry and worked as a DNR forester for 22 years. She currently does consulting forestry work for private landowners writing management plans and assisting with timber sales.

The program is sponsored by the Mercer Library and by ICORE, Iron County Outdoor Recreation Enthusiasts. It is free and open to all. For more information, contact the library at 715-476-2366.
