Patricia Skalka is the author of the Dave Cubiak Door County mysteries, including the latest Death Washes Ashore. She’s the winner of the Midwest Book Award for Best Thriller/Mystery and the Edna Ferber Fiction Award. Last year, USA Today picked Death Stalks Door County, the first Cubiak mystery, to represent Wisconsin in “50 States/50 Books to Read.”
Before turning to fiction, Patricia wrote for Reader’s Digest and other national magazines. She belongs to Wisconsin Writers Association, The Authors Guild, Mystery Writers of America Midwest, and Society of Midland Authors and is the past president of Sisters in Crime Chicagoland as well as a member of the Wisconsin chapter.
Skalka divides her time between her home in Milwaukee and cottage in Door County.
