DESCRIPTION:🌲🛠️ Volunteers Needed! Help Us Care for the North Country Trail 🥾\nThe Ni-Miikanaake (NMK) Chapter of the North Country Trail is looking for volunteers to join us for two trail work days:\n📅 Friday\, September 18 & Saturday\, September 19\n🕗 8:00 a.m. CT / 9:00 a.m. ET – approximately 2:00 pm CT / 3:00 p.m. ET\n📍 CR-519 Trailhead\, north of Bergland on M-64\nWe’ll be working to keep the trail safe\, beautiful\, and enjoyable for everyone. Work will include:\n🌿 Brushing back overgrown vegetation\n🌲 Removing downed trees\n🥾 Trail maintenance east and west of the trailhead\n📍 Extra attention to a 1-mile section near mile marker 44\nWhat to Bring\n💧 Water\n🥪 Food/snacks\n🦟 Insect repellent\n🌧️ Rain gear\n🧤 Work gloves\nWe’ll have equipment available\, but feel free to bring your own loppers or weed whackers if you have them.\n🚗 Parking is available at the CR-519 Trailhead\, with overflow parking along M-64.\nWhether you’re a longtime trail volunteer or would like to try trail work for the first time\, we’d love to have you join us! Come lend a hand and help care for the North Country Trail. 🌲🥾
