Learn to snowshoe! Snowshoeing is perhaps the perfect way to experience nature in winter. You can do it anywhere there’s a path, and sometimes when there isn’t one.
In “Snowshoes and You,” instructor Chad McGrath will discuss equipment, basic safety issues, and more. No prior experience on snowshoes is required. You don’t even need your own snowshoes, they’ll be available to rent for just $10, which covers all three sessions of the class.
A trio of two-hour walks are planned for this class, on Monday, Jan. 19, and the Sundays of Jan. 25 and Feb. 1. The first will be at MECCA Ski Trail in Mercer, while the locations of the second and third will depend on current snow conditions.
