VFW post 3673 in Bessemer is offering a FREE Thanksgiving dinner, open to the community. Local veterans, those persons in need, those unable to cook, or anyone who would like some company are welcome.
The dinner begins at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at the VFW post in Bessemer.
Reservations are strongly encouraged and can be achieved by calling (906) 285 – 2006. When you call, leave a message with your name, the number of persons who will be attending the dinner, and a number at which to call you back.
You will receive a call back, confirming your reservation. At that time, you may inquire about carry-out and/or delivery options.
The menu for the meal will include: turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, corn, pineapple fluff, cranberries, relish tray, dessert selections, and coffee.
If you would like to help prepare for the meal, the Post is looking for volunteers to set up the dinner, prepare the food, maintain the buffet, clean up, and deliver meals.
