Come to Ironwood, MI and enjoy a whole weekend of Pride festivities!
Pride UP is a family-friendly celebration of the beautiful Queer/LGBT+ community in Ironwood, MI and the surrounding areas.
Participants will join festivals across the nation that recognize June as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) Pride Month.
All are welcome to come frolic, reflect, connect, sing, and decorate yourself with YOUR true colors!
The schedule for Friday, June 7th is as follows:
4:00 – 9:00 PM: Downtown Ironwood First Friday (sponsored by Ironwood Area Pride) with live music by Wildered & vendors. The City of Ironwood’s Declaration for Pride Diversity and Inclusivity Celebration Month will be read shortly before Wildered starts on the City Square stage at 5:30pm. Come say hello at our Pride UP table in City Square!
4:00 – 6:30 PM: Clothes Swap @ Northwind Co-op with special drinks by White Cedar Mead
7:00 PM: “Won‘t You Be My Neighbor?” The Mister Rogers documentary of love & acceptance. Special showing at the Historic Ironwood Theater ($5 kids, $8 adults–sponsored by IAP and GSA). Stick around afterwards for a discussion of the film facilitated by the Ironwood Human Relations & Equity Committee.
