Drop in and meet the Adventure Team at Cold Iron Brewing on Wednesday, April 13th from 6-9pm!

Ask one question or five, stay for a few minutes or an hour.  Our staff will be on hand to answer your questions about volunteering, adventure bike club, after school bike clubs, how you and your family can get involved, and more!

Youth sports are on the decline for the first time in history. At their peak only 50% of high school kids participated. Don’t get the wrong idea – we love traditional sports.  Many of our coaches grew up playing them, but many did not.  Some of our kids participate in them, some of them do not.  The unfortunate reality is… traditional sport models are exclusive and fail to reach at least half of the youth population.

The good news? We’re getting kids outside – and not just a select group of kids.  Kids of all-ages, from different homes, in different towns, event different counties across the Upper Peninsula.  We are helping kids find outdoor adventure and a sense of belonging to something much bigger than themselves!  Our staff and leaders focus on creating positive experiences around outdoor activities – specifically mountain biking.  If you’ve ever done it – you know it’s hard.  The kids gain confidence, resilience, independence, and grit.  All while riding a bicycle in the woods with friends.

What’s this got to do with you? You can be part of it.  Be a leader or a general volunteer – we always need help.  We’re growing and looking for inspired community folks to help us accomplish our mission – empowering people to discover the best version of themselves through outdoor adventure.  Kids are thriving in this program.  Why?  Because we’re not pitting them against one-another for a starting position or a win, and they are encouraged to try new things.  Failure is welcome!  We teach kids to go for it, fall and get back up.
