Join Iron County Land & Water Conservation Department for a free Clean Boats, Clean Waters (CBCW) training on Thursday, May 21st, from 9-11 AM at 607 3rd Avenue N in Hurley.

This training will teach volunteers how to help prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS) through watercraft inspections and boater outreach. Participants will learn to identify common AIS, conduct boat landing inspections, engage with boaters about clean boating practices, and record inspection data. More information about the CBCW program can be found here: www3.uwsp.edu/cnr-ap/UWEXLakes/Pages/programs/cbcw.

This training is ideal for new volunteers, returning CBCW participants in need of a refresher, or anyone interested in supporting our local lakes.
