Attendees may want to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.
It all happens: June 11, August 6, and August 20, 2024 from 7 – 8 PM!
Special Presentation on AUGUST 6TH:
Folk Song Extravaganza!
Folk tunes from Appalachia, the American West, England, Italy and more. Listen for “Sweet Betsy from Pike” which slips into at least 2 arrangements. See if you can recognize “John Barleycorn”, “I’m Sad and I’m Lonely” or “Blow Away the Morning Dew”. And come see what percussionist Nancy uses the milk jugs filled with rocks and water and an actual brake drum for in “The Great Steamboat Race”. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on and enjoy an hour of live community band music!
