Downtown Ironwood Ecology Mural Festival 2026
September 3rd – September 5th
Join us for a week of art, food, ecology and education as we paint the town… literally.
The Downtown Ironwood Development Authority and Travel Ironwood (Ironwood Tourism Council), along with community partners, bring you Ironwood’s second annual downtown mural festival. Five large-scale, permanent murals about the ecology of our area will be painted from August 31st through September 6th. Each mural will focus around different species important to our area.
A series of events will accompany the artwork as follows:
Wednesday, September 2nd, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Ecology Trivia @ Cold Iron Brewing. Bonus points will be given if attendees come dressed as an animal or species native to the area!
Friday, September 4th, 4-7pm
Downtown Ironwood Summer Concert Series
4:30 to 5:30 p.m. | Downtown Pocket Park featuring live music by LIZ MATHIAS.
5:30 to 7:00 p.m. | City Square Amphitheatre featuring live music by ON THE LASH.
Complimentary Wine, Tea, & Treats Tasting
3:00 to 6:00 p.m. @ Northwind Natural Foods Co-op.
Farmers Market
4:00 to 7:00 p.m. | Farmers market at the Downtown City Square.
Saturday, September 5th, 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.
Local and Foraged Food Tasting Tour and Mural Talk
Hosted by the Northwind Natural Foods Co-op and Muralists. Enjoy a four course tasting tour of dishes created with locally sourced and foraged ingredients. Each dish represents a season. We’ll offer tastings at Northwind Co-op and take you on a walking tour of each mural, where artists will share about their artwork. Limited space available, advance registration encouraged. $25 per person for the tasting tour. All are welcome to join for the artist conversations at no cost.
