Teens and adults are invited to learn about Block Printing with artist Cedar Nelson in a FREE workshop on Saturday, March 9 at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Mercer Library.
Participants will look at the steps needed to create a one-of-a-kind artwork that can be duplicated over and over. Instead of wood or linoleum, students will be using a soft carving material that is easier to carve. Everyone will have the chance to make multiple prints to take home. Cedar was a elementary art teacher for 25 years and has used these materials for a long time, including for her own artwork.
Space in the workshop is limited, so please call the library at 715-476-2366 or email director@mercerpubliclibrary.org to register in advance.
