The League of Women Voters of the Copper Country – Gogebic Range Unit invites voters in the Gogebic Range to educational presentations about initiative proposals that will be on the November 8th election ballot.
- Thursday, October 13th at Cold Iron Brewing from 6-7pm
- Tuesday, October 18th at Gogebic Community College from 11-noon
- Thursday, October 20th at Cold Iron Brewing from 6-7pm
Prop 1: Transparency and term limits: A proposal to amend the state constitution to require annual public financial disclosure reports by legislators and other state officers and change state legislator term limit to 12 total years in legislature.
Prop 2: Promote the vote: A proposal to amend the state constitution to add provisions regarding elections.
Prop 3: Reproductive freedom for all: A proposal to amend the state constitution to establish new individual rights to reproductive freedom, including the right to make all decisions about pregnancy and abortion; all state to regulate abortion in some cases; and forbid prosecution of individuals exercising established right.
