Join the Ni-Miikanaake Chapter of the North Country Trail for a hike from Lepisto Falls to the Presque Isle Day Area in the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park on Saturday, June 18th!
A group hike on this less-traveled section of the trail will help make the path more identifiable. It’s approximately 7 miles of varying terrain. There are many flat stretches, but some steep hills and one area steep enough for a rope guideline.
And after the group arrives back at the Presque Isle Recreation Area, there will be a cookout! Please bring plenty of water, snacks and bug spray for the hike.
MEET AT PRESQUE ISLE RIVER AREA PARKING LOT at 10am CST/11AM EST. The Chapter will leave vehicles there and car pool folks to Lepisto Falls so everyone can leave as they please after the hike. Please be on time and note that if you do not have a recreation pass on your vehicle, the parking at Presque Isle is paid parking, so plan accordingly.
