A peaceful protest is being held against government corruption and police brutality in honor of George Floyd’s tragic death.

Event is Sunday, June 7th 1:30pm-6pm
AND Monday, June 8th 1:30pm-6pm

We will be meeting at the corner in front of the Memorial Building and staying off the roads. (Memorial Building is just down the road from Uptown Cafe, the large brick building with a playground across the street.)

This protest was created to support the cause in a peaceful manner.

The location was decided as the Memorial Building due to it being public property, down the road from the police station, and having view from the road. There is also public parking nearby.
It is a location that will not prevent emergency vehicles, disrupt traffic, or have legal consequences associated.

We are here for voices to be heard, for justice.. not for any violence or to cause any potential harm.

It was scheduled a week away to give opportunities for attendance, word to pass, and for preparations to be viable.

There will be water bottles, signs, milk, juice, and a face painting station (For those concerned with facial recognition programs).

Bring your own snacks, soda, and protective gear. (Examples: Masks, goggles, layers of clothing, and comfortable shoes.)
