Drivers Education classes are broken into two segments. Segment 1 involves 24 hours of classroom instruction as well as 6 hours of behind the wheel training. Segment 2 requires 6 hours of classroom instruction only.
There will be two sessions of Segment 1 offered this summer. The first session runs June 4th – June 28th. The second session runs July 8th – August 1st. A student must be 14 years and 8 months of age before the first day of instruction in order to enroll in Segment 1. The cost for Segment 1 is $360 for Ironwood students and $380 for those not enrolled in our District.
Segment 2 will be offered beginning in October. A student must have completed Segment 1 three (3) months prior to starting Segment 2. Although classes are not yet scheduled, they will take place after school for 2 hours, one day a week for three consecutive weeks. The cost for Segment 2 is $30.
