Come and watch the 2024 Solar Eclipse April 8 at the Ottawa National Forest Visitor Center, open from 12 pm – 4 pm.
The Watersmeet area is expected to experience roughly 80% totality just after 2 pm central standard time.
Come watch a short movie about the Solar Eclipse in the Visitor Center auditorium. This will be on loop throughout the day.
Consider practicing some smartphone photography that day!
What will nature be like during a partial solar eclipse?
If you stop in and mention Smokey or Woodsy that day you can get a Smokey and Woodsy eclipse prize!
The Visitor Center will not be supplying solar eclipse glasses however if you have some it is recommended you use it.
A ranger on site will be demonstrating how to safely view the eclipse
