Viola Turpeinen was an American-Finnish accordion Player who was born in Champion, Michigan.
She began playing accordion at the age of 14, taught by her father.
She toured the United States with fellow accordion player John Rosendahl and later the duo became a trio with the addition of Sylvia Polso.
Enjoy an afternoon of wonderful polka music in her honor on Sunday, July 20th at Little Finland in Hurley.
