Iron County’s Rice Lake needs your help to pull its weeds.
The lake is struggling with curly leaf pondweed, an invasive species threatening the ecosystem of the lake.
Rice Lake is part of the Turtle River Chain of Lakes and a precious part of Iron County.
The Rice Lake Association is asking for volunteers to pull weeds from the lake.
Three dates available and just one time slot is a great way to give them assistance.
The dates are May 31 – June 2, June 5 – 7, June 9 – 11, 2023.
Lunch will be provided each day.
Volunteer opportunities come in many positions including: weed pullers, truck drivers, bag handlers, nurses, EMTs, boat cleaning, worker feeding, and many more.
