FeUniversity invites you to join two retired biologists and wild rice experts for this fascinating, informative and DELICIOUS class on wild rice (or manoomin in Ojibwe), Wisconsin’s native grain. You cook with it… you paddle/boat through it… now learn about it!
The three classroom sessions will be a mix of informational learning and experiential creation of “knockers” and…well…sampling yummy wild rice. The optional field trip will offer the opportunity to learn responsible, sustainable harvesting.
The sessions are from 3:00- 5:00 pm at the Mercer Community Center on August 8, 22, and 29, 2023 with an optional field trip on September 8th.
The cost of the class series is $30 – $45.
