The Gogebic Conservation District is hosting a hands-on learning event where participants will be able to see up close different composting methods, Static pile, Johnson-Su, Windrow, Biodynamic, Hügelkultur, Vermicompost, Bokashi, as well as participate in building a hot compost pile which can produce compost faster, but is more labor intensive requiring frequent turning,
Will also look at videos of the microbes from compost samples on the farm and compare with some store bought compost.
Workshop may be videotaped for later posting on social media, in which case you will need to sign a waiver
