It’s time for the Annual Wakefield Volunteer Fire Department Ice Fishing Contest!
This year’s event takes place on Saturday, February 15th from 11 AM – 4 PM on beautiful Sunday Lake in Wakefield.
This coincides with Michigan’s FREE FISHING WEEKEND!
This contest offers registration FREE for kids under 3, $3 for kids 3 – 12, and $5 for kids 13 and older.
Some planned activities will also include: Bingo from 12:00 to 2:00, roll dice to win a tv game, food including hamburgers, hot dogs and barbecue’s, WVFD tumblers for sale, FUN-E-Business face painting & balloon twisting, ice fishing with bait available, 50/50, and plenty of door and raffle prizes.
As a reminder $1000 of the portion of the 50/50 is reserved for our Ted Finco memorial scholarship. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. Donations can still be dropped off at the Wakefield municipal building or Friday February 14th after 9:00 at the Wakefield VFW.
